Past Preservers People is proud to announce the latest addition to our presenter team: Sarah Barker, Astrophysicist & Science Communicator.
In Sarah’s own words, “It’s been a long-held dream of mine to talk about science on television. I’ve been putting most of my efforts into creating factual TV shows behind the cameras for the last few years, but I’m incredibly excited about the opportunity to do more in front of the camera going forward. I am obsessed with space, science, and stargazing, and am so looking forward to sharing my passion with new audiences. I couldn’t be more delighted to join Past Preservers, and can’t wait for our first projects together”
About Sarah Barker
Sarah Barker is an astrophysicist and science communicator. She has spent the last decade crisscrossing the planet making award-winning factual television, and is excited to move to the other side of the camera. She produces, directs, and writes science, natural history, travel, and history programs for major networks including National Geographic, Discovery, BBC, Disney+ and more. Her TV work has taken her everywhere from the floor of NASA’s Mission Control Center in Houston, Texas, to a small boat surrounded by sharks in the Bahamas. One of her favourite elements of her work is interviewing people, and Sarah has had the pleasure of conversations with fascinating folks ranging from Stephen Hawking to Katy Perry.
Nigel J. Hetherington, Founder & CEO of Past Preservers, says “We are honoured that Sarah came to Past Preservers to launch her new career in front of the camera after a successful one behind the camera. We are looking forward to what the future holds for Sarah & us”.
