Time Team America is a science/reality series from PBS that sends archaeologists on a race against time to excavate historic sites around the nation. The team has 72 hours to uncover the buried secrets of their assigned digs using the latest technology, decades of expertise and their own sharp wits. By transforming the interpretation of archaeological discovery into good storytelling, Time Team America evokes the humanistic side of archaeology and strives for a deeper understanding of America’s past. Time Team America also showcases the many scientific disciplines that contribute to archaeological research and exposes the tangible ways the field relies on cutting-edge technology and concepts from mathematics.
