Rob Rondeau, Marine Archaeologist
Rob says “A big part of my career as a marine archaeologist has been focused on studying shipwrecks, but, over the years it has expanded to locating and documenting a-typical wrecks, such as WWII aircraft and, more recently, submerged landscapes. Presently, I’m involved in research that is focused on finding underwater the oldest archaeological sites in North America. My PhD research aims to find evidence of a coastal migration route in Hecatia, the possible continuous refugium between Hadia Gwaii and British Columbia’s central coast that may have existed prior to 12,000 BP.”
