“I am a Professor of International History and author of four books on the history of terrorism, intelligence and warfare. I have extensive experience of public speaking and media but am looking for fresh opportunities to share stories of secret histories – spies, conspiracies, cover-ups and propaganda. I am building a fan base off my latest book, Rogue Agent – the biography of the dashing yet flawed spy, Robert Bruce Lockhart, the follow-up to which, The Afterwar, will be published in 2026. I am using these trade books to pivot from academia to public history, as this is where my passion lies.”
