“I am an oceanographer who has carried out research across the globe, from the Arctic to the South Pacific. As part of my work I have responsibility for there public understanding of science. This involves extensive public speaking engagements and well as news and documentary broadcasts. I cover stories ranging from ocean circulation and climate change to extreme weather and natural phenomena. I have delivered over 1,000 news interviews relating to the oceans and the environment and have appeared in over 100 documentaries ranging from the Bermuda Triangle to Tsunamis. This has included both the interviewed expert and the presenter.”
