Dr Jack Cooper is a palaeontologist and science communicator with a PhD in shark ecological diversity from Swansea University. His most well-known works focus on the iconic “megalodon”, the biggest shark that ever lived, for which he has appeared in documentaries as an expert contributor. He has contributed to a viral animated lesson by TED-Ed and written about sharks for high-profile publications including The Guardian. He has served as a public speaker for museums, schools and even a book tour. Jack’s goal is to use science storytelling to rebrand the image of sharks and aid in their conservation by promoting their ecological importance.
