Dr Dan Shugar, Geomorphologist
“I am a geomorphologist, which means I am interested in the science of scenery. In particular, I study rapid geological change (landslides for example) in high latitude and high-altitude settings, and often as a result of climate change. I combine field mapping with a variety of Earth Observation and remote sensing tools to study the Earth and how it is changing. I have a PhD in Earth Sciences, and BSc and MSc in Physical Geography. I am a professor of Geoscience at the University of Calgary.”
