Dr Alexander Clarke, Military & Naval Historian
Dr Alexander Clarke is a military historian with an extensive knowledge of British naval history. Since completing his PhD, he has been writing papers mainly about cruisers and destroyers in the 1920s, 1930s, 1950s and even present day for conferences, journals and a range of websites. His current research focus is on the periods of transition & development before and after World War II, although he’s also interested in International Power Projection & International Relations, Amphibious Operations & Expeditionary Warfare, Carrier Operations & the Development of Naval Aviation, Evolution & Development of Unmanned Systems, and Equipment Design & Procurement.
