Dr Alessandra Pino explores the intersections of Gothic, food, and cultural memory. Born in London to an Italian mother and Venezuelan father, she grew up across several countries and spent a decade working with a Michelin-starred chef. She co-authored A Gothic Cookbook and contributes to Haunted Magazine. She co-hosts A is for Apple and Fear Feasts, podcasts examining food history and horror through food. Her research spans food, the supernatural, and the Gothic. She lectures at Romancing the Gothic and is a member of the Guild of Food Writers.
