“I am a crime historian and author. I write about Victorian crime and police history. I have published four books, including The Real Sherlock Holmes. My new book, The Bermondsey Murder, is due in 2024. My work has featured in magazines and newspapers. I have appeared on radio and TV, including the BBC’s The One Show and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, and Murderous History for the Smithsonian channel. I have taken part in many events, such as the Henley Literary Festival and at the Museum of London. I recently undertook doctoral research in detective history at Oxford Brookes University.”
