About Omar Samra

“I’m the first Egyptian to summit Everest, the 7 Summits and ski to both Poles. I founded Wild Guanabana, a leading adventure travel company where I’m CEO. I’m an Astronaut Candidate and Vice-Commander of Lunares 3, a 15-day analogue mission conducting research on lunar habitability. In 2017, I made three first ascents of Antarctica mountains and named them. I rowed 1000km across the Atlantic Ocean before capsizing in a storm. Our survival story shed light on the plight of refugees and was made into a documentary. I’m a former Ambassador to the UNDP and an honorary ambassador to Nepal.”
