Past Preservers Expert Presenter Agency; Past Preservers People, is thrilled to announce that our team of presenters is to grow with the addition of David C. Weinczok Writer, Presenter and Heritage Professional to the fold.
David is a one-man ambassador for Scotland’s heritage, making regular appearances on television, radio and in print media. He was recently interviewed about the value of built heritage on BBC Radio Scotland and appeared as an expert for BBC Two Scotland’s documentary on Edinburgh’s New Town. He is a frequent writer for the world’s oldest periodical, The Scots Magazine, and has had works published in History Today and a multitude of historical websites. David has worked with every major heritage organisation in Scotland, including Historic Environment Scotland and Archaeology Scotland. Possessing a flair for the dramatic, David was a ‘Battlemaster’ for the award-winning Bannockburn Heritage Centre where he coordinated 3D recreations of the medieval Battle of Bannockburn involving live audience participation. He also regularly presents YouTube videos for ‘Dig It! 2017’, an archaeology advocacy group, and conducts walking tours of Edinburgh in his spare time. His historical expertise also extends well beyond Scotland, as David holds a particular fascination for the Mongol Empire and ancient Mediterranean warfare.
David tells us what joining the Past Preservers team means to him “The very practice of history and archaeology has burst forth in the past few years to become more inclusive, engaging and far-reaching than ever before. I view Past Preservers as the perfect launch pad for bringing history into people’s lives in unexpected and fascinating new ways, such as connecting the past with current pop culture phenomena, and for channelling the passion of people like me towards the benefit of the public’s insatiable curiosity.”
Nigel J. Hetherington, Founder & CEO of Past Preservers, says, “David is a wonderful addition to our outstanding lineup of presenters, Past Preservers is proud to welcome him to the team. One of David’s missions is to make history fun and relatable and we look forward to working with him to achieve that goal.”
David is joining our team of presenters that make up Past Preservers People, a boutique, full service talent management agency which represents experts in their fields from around the globe. The company is built around a small but diverse group of individuals that share the passion and drive necessary for success in the highly competitive media world.
